When Autodesk Build is the better fit
- • Your team already works in Autodesk design tools and models
- • You manage drawings, submittals and cost on large projects
- • Your priority is design-to-construction document and model coordination
DigProof vs. Autodesk Build
DigProof connects field execution, equipment issues, captured job records and office decisions for self-performing heavy civil contractors. The new jobsite accountability flow strengthens that connection—one important part of a broader operating platform, not the whole story.
| Autodesk Build | DigProof | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Project teams managing models, drawings, RFIs, submittals and cost across large projects | Self-performing heavy civil, utility, earthwork, sitework and trucking contractors |
| Pricing | Subscription pricing published on Autodesk's site; check there for current plans | Field Essentials $99/month flat for up to 35 users; Command for broader operations. Billed annually. |
| Operating focus | Project teams managing models, drawings, RFIs, submittals and cost across large projects | A jobsite responsibility chain: crew and operators → foreman → superintendent → office, with focused field screens and separate review responsibilities |
Essentials covers time, safety records and field-to-office questions. Command brings broader operations: daily reports, dispatch, equipment, plans, RFIs, change requests and Proof Packages generated from captured records. Command is available through limited Founding Access.
A deeper connection · Command
Alongside time, safety, daily reports, equipment and office review, DigProof is building a clearer responsibility chain: crew and operators → site foreman → superintendent inspection → office sign-off. Production progress is not the same as accepted work.
A timestamped jobsite check-in keeps the original shift open. It records the move without rewriting payroll punches or pretending a check-in is continuous location tracking.
An operator can run Dozer 12 on one site and Excavator 2 on another. The picker follows site assignments; equipment does not move just because the operator does.
Laborers get the essentials. Operators get site targets and equipment actions. The foreman owns the daily report—not a pile of separate end-of-day reports from every worker.
Jobsite defaults prefill qualified foreman, superintendent and office reviewers. Publishing still checks eligibility and separate people; defaults do not bypass approval or rewrite published history.
Built, awaiting field rollout. The new check-in, equipment-selection and reviewer-prefill flow has passed isolated tests. It is not in a released phone update yet; signed-in end-to-end checks and transferred-site inspection verification remain before rollout. Ask us to walk through the current workflow and release status. This is recordkeeping and accountability—not a guarantee of safety, compliance or legal outcomes.
